I'm a software developer and system designer with eight years of experience designing and developing solutions including server, web, desktop and mobile applications. I love building technology that helps people.

I currently work as CTO with a start up company based in Glasgow City Centre. We make the Captua data capture platform.

My main activity over the past three years has been product development, resulting in a number of key contracts in developing UK markets. Working closely with the clients, the products have been refined and improved to meet specific customer needs. Field tests and subsequent application have confirmed the commercial viability of the products and provided excellent feedback. I thrive on improving these products from such feedback.

I have a solid understanding of object oriented programming languages such as C#, VB and various web frameworks including.NET and Ruby on Rails and feel very comfortable designing, building, debugging, testing, and deploying .NET applications for Windows, the web and mobile devices.

UX Design
I have a strong, proven understanding of formal user interface design and have experience with Adobe Photoshop (7, CS, CS4). I am very comfortable rapidly taking designs from concept to final polished interfaces.

• Born on the 19th August 1982 in Irvine, Scotland.
• Primary school in Kilmarnock, East Ayrshire.
• Secondary school at Grange Academy, Kilmarnock, Ayrshire. 
• 1998-1999: Worked with Abel Towers, Netherlands on commercial sites for Euro 2000 & Greenpeace
• 2000-1: Worked as a software developer with Procorp Associates, Inc in Houston, Texas
• 2000: Completed listings management system for What’s On Scotland magazine to serve print and web
• 2001: Started Weblimits Internet Limited, offering development and shared hosting to over 230 customers.
• 2002: Completed 1 Year of MA Music at Glasgow University, Scotland.
• 2002: Transferred to BSc Computing at Glasgow Caledonian University, Scotland.
• 2003: Internship at Chevron in Aberdeen, Scotland.
• 2004: Developed e-commerce site for Inspirations Jewellery Limited
• 2006: Awarded BSc (Hons) 2:1 in Computing from Glasgow Caledonian University
